I wanted to like this book more than I did because I loved "Red Queen" so much. It definitely picked up about halfway through, but overall, it was not an enjoyable read for me. I spent a lot of the time bored, to be honest. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters--I'm not sure why I felt so disconnected after how much I enjoyed the first book in this trilogy. I'm hopeful that the third will bring this all together and remind me why I even like these characters because, to be honest, I really didn't like much of anyone in this book.
