A wonderful conclusion for an exciting trilogy. I LOVED the "happy" ending--I don't feel like you get that a lot. Sometimes it's nice to have everything tied up neatly and leave a world filled with hope and love.

This book is packed with action. And heart. It's really a beautiful story, told with some zombie-esque characters on the side. But don't let that element scare you off from reading this!

It's funny, my friend who recommended this series to me PURPOSELY didn't tell me about those pesky little zombie-like characters because she had a feeling I wouldn't read it if I knew. And she was totally right, I wouldn't have given this series a chance. And I would have missed out. Sometimes when we think we know best and what we like, we miss out on things that might be outside of our comfort zone but actually end up being things we love.

I'm so grateful that I gave this series a chance. I really loved it. Not sure if I'll seek out other zombie books BUT I now know that if I get a referral about one I won't immediately turn up my nose at it. You just never know what you're truly going to love until you try!

***UPDATE*** 8/2/18: I just found out that there is a 4th book in this series that the author released last year. I need to remind myself of this series (possibly a re-read???) and then check that out ASAP!
