I liked how this story connected The Giver and Gathering Blue together. There were some questions and parts that felt long and not really relevant BUT I think I have to hold off on the final evaluation until I finish the series. It certainly wasn't my fave book and if it was a stand-alone I would be much harsher. But I did get teary during the end and I'm still interested in how it all comes together.
