My March review is coming to you a few days late and is slightly picture-centric.
{If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen a lot of these...but there are a few extra thrown in, just for fun.}
The theme of this month was the good, the bad, the slightly sad...and the better than ever.
THE GOOD
Copper--who spends his time warming my lap, or warming himself in the sun.
Spring walks and playing outside. (I wrote HERE about rediscovering our neighborhood once spring arrives.)
E discovering her love of drawing and her "art book." (Even though I had to drag her, kicking and screaming, to that realization...read all about that HERE.)
B and I singing to "Uptown Funk" while waiting in a very long Starbucks drive-thru line.
Rainy days spent at the theater. E was just a little excited to see Cinderella.
Remembering our wonderful vacation. (All sorts of pictures of paradise can be found HERE.)
Reflecting on all the books I've read over the past year. (And giving out a few recommendations while I'm at it, HERE.)
E not leaving the house until she's properly accessorized.
Getting random selfie texts from my husband and daughter (this is from swimming lessons).
Not taking care of myself and the toll the stress put on my health. This is me after my husband forced me to go urgent care. I thought I'd be fine. He was right, I needed a little push. If nothing else it forced me to realize I needed to stop and take care of myself.
Dealing with a threenager. (HERE is where you can find my list of the reasons my son cried one morning. Well, really, a lot of mornings.)
THE SLIGHTLY SAD
Snow in March (but only because of the early, beautiful spring we had been enjoying prior to more snow--as is especially apparent with budding branches covered in snow).
E felt a little sad when a girl in her class told her this picture she colored was ugly because of the green face and arms. While I don't like that E was sad, I do like when she said she colored it green because that's B's favorite color. A couple of characteristics that I want her to have, confidence and kindness, were on full display.
Kindergarten registration. Still a few months away from starting, but it became very real last month. E is so excited so I shouldn't really be that sad, right? I don't know... Class of 2028. Wow.
THE BETTER THAN EVER
Having my husband all to myself for an entire weekend...and him agreeing to a selfie to commemorate the occasion. But only on one night. That was his limit for selfies.
And scenes from that weekend.
Remembering the origins of our love of St. Patrick's Day...and enjoying it with the kids. (HERE is my post on how St. Patrick's Day is the anniversary of the day I stopped running away from my husband in embarrassment.)
Taking time to connect with friends, old and new.
Buds on trees and blue sky.
Exciting new adventures being planned. (HERE is my list of 40 things I want to do before I turn 40.)
A gift from a friend to remind me of what's important--happiness verses perfection.
Thus concludes my month in pictures (and some words, I'm never, truly, without words...).
