I Am Malala

I don't really do 1/2 stars (mainly because Goodreads doesn't let you), but I would say if I did, this would be closer to 3.5 stars.
Sometimes it takes reading a book like this to realize just how lucky you are and to remind yourself of the power of the human spirit. I really enjoyed this book and was reminded of Anne Frank while reading. Two young women dealing with things that no adult should have to deal with, let alone a child.
I read some reviews indicating that there were some "slow" parts but I didn't find that, I really thought it was necessary to show the history of her land. This was more than just the story of a girl who got shot. I learned a lot and admire this woman even more than I had before.
