It's been a challenging couple of weeks around these parts. And because of that, I haven't been the best mom.
I've been yelling.
I've been impatient.
I've been distracted.
Here's the good news about kids: they forgive easily.
And thank goodness for that, right?
As it has been already established, I'm not a perfect mom and I'm certainly not always going to be on my "A-game." But I like that even though I make mistakes, I can fix them. I can make it better. And I like the lessons that it gives my kids.
Nobody is perfect.
Apologize when you hurt someone's feelings.
Always try to do better.
It's all I can ask of them and what better way to show those expectations than by modeling them.
So my imperfect parenting continues...but, really, is there any other way?
